So you tried out a Daily Build and you didn't like it?

Here's how you'll "go back again".

1. Disable PPA.
2. Go back to old version
3. Copy back Backup

Disable PPA

Go to "System → Administration → Software Sources". Go to "Other Software". Identify the archive you want to disable. Click on "Remove". Close the dialogue.

Go back to old version

Go to "System → Administration → Synaptic Package Manager". In the "Quick Search" window search for the package you're looking for. Select the package from the list. Click on "Package → Force Version…" or Hit Ctrl-E. Go back to the old version.

Copy back backup

Hopefully you backed up your user data. Copy it right back to where it was.
