I'm a student of Computer Engineering & I'm really passionate about Ubuntu, Linux & OpenSource.
I want to get started with ubuntu development.
Currently I know satisfactory "C", like stacks, ques, structures, files, etc...I have C++,OOP,Non-Linear data structures next semester, which starts in January.

Overview
As well as your profile page, you now have an overview page in each of Launchpad's main applications. These show your work in areas such as a bug triaging and software translation.

You can help people to identify which pages are associated with you by branding them.

Graham Binns is a Launchpad developer. Let's take a look at his code overview page in Launchpad.

||<tablestyle="font-size: 0.8em; width:30%; background:#F1F1ED; margin: 0 0 1em 1em;" style="padding:0.5em;">||
||<style="text-align: center;">Graham Binns' photo on his code overview page||

At the top-left of the page is Graham's photo. Now, with just a glance, you can see which pages Graham owns in Launchpad. If we take a look at Graham's profile page, we can see a larger version of his photo.

||<tablestyle="font-size: 0.8em; width:30%; background:#F1F1ED; margin: 0 0 1em 1em;" style="padding:0.5em;">||
||<style="text-align: center;">Graham Binns' photo on his profile page||

Even though Graham has used the same image - albeit in different sizes - these could just as easily be two different pictures: one for pages associated with Graham and another for his profile page. In fact, Ubuntu developer Holbach has done just that.

||<tablestyle="font-size: 0.8em; width:30%; background:#F1F1ED; margin: 0 0 1em 1em;" style="padding:0.5em;">||
||<style="text-align: center;">Two different pictures on Daniel's profile page||

You'll come across this sort of branding on pages right throughout Launchpad. People, teams, projects and distributions can all select images to brand pages that they own.

Uploading your images
||<tablestyle="font-size: 0.8em; width:30%; background:#F1F1ED; float: right; margin: 0 0 1em 1em;" style="padding:0.5em;">||
||<style="text-align: center;">Uploading branding images||

First, you need to prepare two images:

 * Logo: appears in the top-left of pages you own. Must be 64x64 pixels and no more than 50KB.
 * Mugshot: appears on your profile page and on team photo pages. Must be 192x192 pixels and no more than 100KB.

You can then upload your branding images by visiting your change branding page.

Next step
Launchpad trusts that you are who you claim to be. Later, such as when you're using the bug tracker's email interface, you'll need to use an electronic signature to prove your identity.

Setting up such a signature is easy and that's what we're doing next: uploading an OpenPGP key.
