If you come across a problem (bug) in the software that you use, you can help out by reporting the bug to the team that maintains the software.
You can use Launchpad's Bug Tracker to report a bug in many open source software programmes.
Important: Before you report a bug, you should:
- Repeat the steps that led up to the bug's occurrence and confirm that it wasn't a one-off.
- Check that the behaviour isn't an intended feature of the software.
Where to report the bug
Step 1: Visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/
Step 2: Use the Jump to product text-box to enter the name of the software where you found the bug, then press the Enter key.
