Personal Package Archive Terms of Service

Canonical Ltd. provides the PPA Service to you, subject to these Terms of Service ("TOS"), which may be updated periodically without prior notice. Failure to comply with these TOS may result in account revocation.

You understand and agree that any content you upload to PPAs must be freely redistributable by Canonical, and licensed under a licenses permitting redistribution free of charge. Acceptable licenses include licenses approved by:

If you want to upload source under a license not covered by the list above, bring it up on the [https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/launchpad-users Launchpad users mailing list] for consideration.

Canonical reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to pre-screen, review, flag, filter, modify, refuse, or remove any or all content that does not conform to the Terms of Service.

Canonical reserves the right to enforce quotas on the Service, including (but not limited to) disk space, CPU time, and bandwidth usage.

You agree to indemnify and hold Canonical Ltd, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, partners, and employees, harmless from any alleged claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your Content, your use of the service, your connection to the service, your violation of the TOS, or your violation of the rights of another, whether you are a registered user or not. The user is solely responsible for his or her actions when using the service.

You agree not to sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service.
